Quick and Easy Red Beans and Rice Recipe


I have the yummiest recipe for Red Beans and Rice (thanks Courtney).


Recipe:

1 bag of (dry) red kidney beans

1 chopped onion

1 green bell pepper chopped

1 can of stewed or diced tomatoes

4 beef boulon cubes

Tony's Seasoning

salt and pepper

garlic powder

onion powder

worschire

7 cups of water

andouille sausage

minute rice


*I chop onion and green bell peppers the night before. The next morning, I combine all ingredients (except rice and sausage) into a crockpot for 8 hours. If it is still runny, cook into a large bot and stir until it thickens. Brown sausage and add to mixture. Finally, cook the rice and enjoy!! (It tasted better a few days after it's made) Makes 6-8 servings. Freezes great!
